What is stamp duty? Stamp duty is a tax that belongs to the category of stamp duties. Any company raising more than one million francs in equity capital is obliged to pay this tax, which amounts to 1% of the amount raised. Thanks to this tax, the Confederation collects around CHF 250,000,000 in stamp duty per year.
